SUMMARY:Intermediate Rifle (KD) – Two Day (Midvale\, OH)
DESCRIPTION:Intermediate Rifle (KD) Overview\nThis is a 2-day\, Intermediate Rifle (AKA: Known Distance or “KD”) event. The event is designed to give attendees the opportunity to stretch their skills to actual distances out to 600 yards. The “course of fire/instruction” is designed for centerfire rifles with slings.  Open sights\, red dots or scopes welcome. Attendees will shoot from the standard field positions of prone\, seated/kneeling\, and standing at ranges from 100 to 400 yards. On Sunday we will provide the opportunity to shoot out to 600 yds.  Got a new match load you want to test at distance? This event is for you.  Have you just added a new scope to your AR? This event is for you. Or\, if you just want to really learn one of your rifle/scope/ammo combinations?  This is your event. Come join us. \nPrerequisites: Suggested — Revere’s Basic Rifle event or previous experience with CMP\, High Power or NRA rifle events. \nIf you cannot consistently hit a 5″ circle at 100 yards from the prone position\, or if you are unfamiliar with the standing/seated/prone positions and sling usage\, you will be frustrated at this event. Material from Basic Rifle will be only briefly reviewed.  \nEstimated Ammunition Required: Bring 150 to 200 rounds/day. It is important that all ammunition be of the same type (i.e. same weight\, manufacturer\, etc) for this event. \nRifle Requirements: You will need a safe rifle chambered in a centerfire caliber of your preference (we will be shooting at distances beyond the effective range of most rimfire calibers). \nPlease make an effort to get a known zero prior to attending (25 yds\, 100 yd or 200 yds preferred\, but any known zero will work).  At the very least\, bore sight your AR-platform or other rifle at a mark 25 yards away.  If you are not zeroed\, we will make an attempt to get you there quickly but a good zero will facilitate your learning. \nRequired Equipment: Please review our suggestions for appropriate KD equipment and plan to bring the following: \n\ncenterfire rifle of your choice\nsling for your rifle (the US GI sling will work perfectly for this event\, but if you bring another style\, it should be easily adjustable)\nat least two magazines for your rifle\, extras will make things easier\na way to take notes\nhearing protection\neye protection\nplenty of your preferred method of hydration (both plain water and something to replace electrolytes you will lose via sweating is ideal)\,\n\nOptional Equipment: The following equipment is not required but may come in handy at the event: \n\ncase for your rifle\nhat with a brim (to deflect flying hot brass)\nshooting mat\nhigh powered binoculars or a spotting scope\nfolding chair\nlunch for both days (Note: range provides lunch for a donation on Sat)\nsnacks and energy bars\nsunscreen and/or bug spray\n\nOverview: Intermediate Rifle picks up where our Basic Rifle clinic leaves off. Students\, having mastered the fundamentals of marksmanship at our Basic Rifle\, learn to apply their skills out to 400 yards\, the Marksman’s quarter-mile. Most importantly\, attendees will learn about your rifle\, your ammo\, and your skill level at real distances. \nIntermediate Rifle is focused on practical shooting under field conditions against targets at a variety of ranges. Students will learn: \n\nField shooting to known distances out to 400 yds to include target detection\, target identification and basic ballistics calculations\nCalculations of minutes of angle (MOA) changes needed for precise sight adjustments at all ranges and application to field shooting problems\nConsiderations for wind adjustments and up-hill/down-hill shooting\nData collection for shooting to known distances with your equipment\nField-expedient ranging of targets at unknown distances\nStudents will be able to challenge the Long Range Qualification Test and other Field Shooting challenges at actual distances; individual events may vary by venue and available distances.\n\nOn Sunday afternoon\, we will move targets out to 600 yds to give folks the opportunity to really “reach out and test” their skills. \nThe Spirit of 1776\nPicking up where “The Midnight Ride” concludes\, the Spirit of 1776 contains stories from the first full year of the American war for independence. From the high point of the Evacuation of Boston to the lows of early winter of 1776\, follow the Continental Army as they are forced to flee across New York and New Jersey. Learn about the nearly insurmountable challenges they faced and the hope\, faith and daring that pulled victory out of certain defeat. \nIf you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to face down a huge amphibious armada invading New York City\, shiver around a campfire reading about “summer soldiers and sunshine patriots\,” or gamble it all on a desperate crossing of the Delaware River for “Liberty or Death” then you need to hear the Spirit of 1776. \nThese exciting tales will be woven throughout the event. \nAdditional Event Information\nThere is a $10/person range fee for non-Tusco members that is payable at the start of the event. \nAdditional Range Information\nFree camping will be available at the range on Friday and Saturday night. Participants will have access to the club house for restrooms and limited kitchen support for dinner on Saturday night.

SUMMARY:Revere's Riders Range Day 1\,000 yard Spooktacular!
DESCRIPTION:This Halloween Revere’s Riders is taking the fright out of shooting longer distances and putting the BOO! into BOOOOM!!! \nJoin us for a day of fellowship\, camaraderie\, candy\, and probably more than a few shenanigans on the 1\,000 yard rifle range at Mifflin County Sportsmen’s Association near Lewistown\, Pennsylvania. Lots of treats\, but no tricks. (Safety first!) \nOur current and past Presidents of the Board\, Treasurer\, and a few special guests – who are all seasoned long range shooters – will be on hand to help YOU get on target and walk your shots out to 1\,000 yards and beyond. We’ll place a full-size silhouette at 1\,040 yards to really test your reach! \nThere is no formal agenda for this range day. No class. No itinerary. Just the opportunity for you to come out and have fun! Use the day to gather the data you need. Zero your rifles. Build a dope card. Test out your new setup or hone your skills on an old one. We’ll be there to lend a hand and offer advice & coaching\, but the day is yours to accomplish your own goals. Shoot paper targets or steel. Use the club’s or bring your own. \nRemember those shenanigans mentioned a moment ago? \nWe’re going to have a couple full auto machine guns available and a big ol’ .50BMG as well. You feed ’em (ammo available for purchase on-site) and you can blast away! \nWe’ll also have more precision rigs suited to this style of shooting available for use. Want to borrow  a 6.5 Creedmoor chassis gun\, various scope with mil/moa\, bipods\, rest\, bag? No problem! \nAssorted ammo available for purchase so no need to stress ahead of time trying to load or locate the perfect match grade boxes if you don’t have them already. Shoot us a message and we’ll get you sorted out. \nThe best part of all this? It’s $20! \nReserve your spot today for only 20 bucks! Come for an hour or stay all day. Totally up to you! We’re an all-volunteer crew doing this to share our love of distance marksmanship (and shenanigans!) so the cost is just to help cover range rental fees for the day. Donations to Revere’s Riders much appreciated and accepted on-site or ahead of time through our website. Please bring cash to the event.  \nBring your own snacks & electrolytes (what plants crave) or feel free to make a Sheets run (and done) to get whatever you need. Primitive camping is available for $10/night but please coordinate ahead of time. \nLastly\, feel free to bring that box of shooting or outdoor stuff you haven’t used that’s been sitting in your man cave (or she shed) for a few years. We’ll have an impromptu swap meet going too! \nIf you have any questions\, need more info\, want to borrow or buy gear/ammo\, please reach out to the event director via the email link below. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Marksmen will receive an invitation by satisfying one of the following: \n\nshoot a score of Marksman or better on the Revere’s Riders Rifle Qualification Test (must be in the same calendar year as the Invitational)\nsatisfy the Match Director that you are proficient and safe enough to participate\n\nThis is a competition match and no instruction will be provided. \nFor general match information and rules\, please see the Marty Brown Memorial Invitational Rifle Match Rules page. \n\nAdditional Event Information\nTicket price includes all range fees. \nPre-registration is Required\nAll participants must purchase tickets by the DEADLINE of 5:00 PM on October 9\, 2026.  It is Camp Atterbury policy that we must give them a list of attendees 30 days prior to any event so that they may be vetted before being allowed on-base. Absolutely no registrations will be allowed after this deadline. The unique venue for this event requires that we share your name and other personal information you submit to Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center (CAJMTC)\, Military Police and the Range Control office. Your information will not be used in any manner other than to allow your admittance to the installation and to contact you regarding this event. Pre-registration is required so that we can forward your information to CAJMTC in time for the event. You are also responsible for reading the below additional range information specific to Camp Atterbury. Please keep in mind that we are using a military facility and military rules and discipline are in force. \nRefund Policy\nEvent will be held RAIN or SHINE!\nCamp Atterbury is an active military installation\, as such we may have our scheduled access removed as late as the day before the event. Refunds will only be issued for this event due to cancellation of the event by military authorities. Absolutely no refunds will be given for any other reason. \nAdditional Range Information\nArrival Time \nYou MUST Arrive On Time\nPlan to arrive NO LATER than 7:45AM. Anyone arriving later than this will not be allowed to participate in the event and your event fees will not be refunded. This is due to the need to meet at Range Control and proceed to the range as a group. We will not wait for you; plan to be early. \nBase Access Policy \n\nCAMP ATTERBURY BASE ACCESS: the military is being more restrictive on who is allowed on-base and the credentials that need to be presented to gain access. You will need to have one of the following to gain base access (NO EXCEPTIONS): \n\nReal ID (like what is now required to board commercial aircraft)\nPassport\nMilitary ID (either current or retired)\n\nYour ID must be current (i.e.\, not expired). \n\nThis is federal\, not Camp Atterbury\, policy intended to increase the security of military bases in response to heightened threats posed in recent years. \nBase Firearms Policy \nCAJMTC firearms policy—NO LOADED FIREARMS PERMITTED ON BASE. Concealed carry is NOT ALLOWED on base; you may only load a firearm while on a designated range. Before you proceed to the base entrance and attempt to pass through security\, make sure that all firearms in your vehicle and on your person (don’t forget your concealed carry sidearm) are unloaded\, in a secure case and separated from your ammunition. This is generally Indiana state law (see IC 35-47-2-1). If you are refused entry to the base for any reason\, your event fees will not be refunded. \nDirections to Range Control \nYou will be required to pass through the Camp Atterbury main gate to access the military side of the base. When asked\, tell gate security that you are there for the Revere’s Riders event along with any other information gate security requests. IMPORTANT—do NOT attempt to go to the range on your own. There are numerous ranges at Camp Atterbury and any number of them can be “hot” at any given time. There are ranges for pistols\, rifles\, artillery as well as strafing (witnessing an A-10 Warthog engaging in a strafing run is awe inspiring from a distance); some of the ranges involve firing over roadways (if the range is “hot”\, these should be blockaded\, but better safe than sorry). Wandering onto any of these ranges while they are “hot” could lead to a VERY bad day. Range Control is reached by continuing south on the entrance road (Eggleston Street). Range Control will be on your left just before County Road 900 South. Himsel Airfield will be on your right just beyond the intersection of Eggleston Street and CR 900 S. \nOvernight Accommodations\nCivilian lodging is available on base in standard “chargeable transient quarters”. Standard rooms with shared bathroom are $43/night and Deluxe rooms with private bath are $58/night. For reservations\, call the Camp Atterbury Lodging Office at 812-526-1128. Let them know that you are with Revere’s Riders. \n \nEvent Sponsors\n\n\n \n  \n\n3M Peltor has graciously provided Revere’s Riders with Peltor LiteCom Plus communications headsets for use at this event. These headsets incorporate radios allowing wearers to communicate with each other via their headsets. Extremely convenient for ranges where the target line is manned like Camp Atterbury.
