DESCRIPTION:Intro to Defensive Shotgun Overview\nPrerequisites: Safe firearms handling. \nEstimated Ammunition Required: About 150 rounds including 5 rounds of slug and 10 rounds of 00 buckshot. \nShotgun Requirements: Single-shot\, double-barrel\, semi-automatic (preferable) or pump-action. \nIf you have any questions concerning the suitability of your shotgun for this course\, please contact the Event Director. \nRequired Equipment: Plan to bring the following: \n\na way to take notes\nhearing protection\neye protection\nplenty of your preferred method of hydration (both plain water and something to replace electrolytes you will lose via sweating is ideal)\nclothing appropriate for the weather (loose fitting clothing\, especially around the neck\, is discouraged as hot brass can lodge against the skin and cause a burn)\n\nOptional Equipment: The following equipment is not required but may come in handy at the event: \n\nsling for your shotgun\ndump pouch\nhat with a brim (to deflect flying hot brass)\nfolding chair\nlunch\nsnacks\nsunscreen and/or bug spray\n\nOverview: Attendees will experience shooting at various distances and learn how to employ the shotgun in a defensive role. This clinic will focus on short range close quarter engagement.
