OLFA Works has generously donated to our upcoming Marty Brown Memorial Open™ Defensive Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun event on July 25, 2026.
Founded in 1956 and based in Osaka, Japan, OLFA is a Japanese brand with a prolific heritage in knives and blades. Mr. Yoshio Okada, the founder of OLFA CORPORATION, invented the world’s first Snap-Off Blade Cutter. The inspiration for this incredible idea came from breaking off segments of chocolate bars and analyzing the snap edges of broken glass. With almost 70 years of history, sharpened and honed on a firm devotion to providing high-quality knives and blades, OLFA Works is ready to be part of your next outdoor adventure from creek to peak!
For the upcoming Marty Brown Memorial Open™ Defensive Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun event, the following OLFA Works donated product will be featured:

The Marty Brown Memorial Open™ Defensive Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun event will be our inaugural “defensive/tactical” style event for the Marty Brown Memorial™ series. Brad Hammack (US Army, retired) will be the event instructor as he has been for most of our past defensive/tactical style events. To get a feel for what this event will involve, check out the event listing for details on the COI/COF as well as the below two photo galleries from prior Revere’s Riders defensive/tactical events that Brad has run:
- Basic Defensive Rifle (June 21, 2025 [Seelyville, IN])
- Intermediate Defensive Rifle (June 22, 2025 [Seelyville, IN])
The Marty Brown Memorial Open™ Defensive Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun won’t be an introductory event; it is recommended that you have previously taken the Revere’s Riders Basic Defensive Rifle course or the equivalent elsewhere. This event will also involve some moderate physical exertion (like the optional skills contest which involves carrying/dragging a 150lb sand monkey), so you will need to be reasonably physically fit as well.

If you can’t make this event, then join us for another of our upcoming events:
