SIG Sauer, founding sponsor of the Marty Brown Memorial™ series of events, has again generously donated to our upcoming Marty Brown Memorial Open™ IN Rifle & Pistol event on Sept. 5-6, 2026.
In 1853, Friedrich Peyer im Hof, Heinrich Moser and Conrad Neher began what they thought would become a successful wagon factory above the Rhine Falls in Switzerland. In response to a Swiss Federal Ministry of Defense request for a state-of-the-art rifle, the Swiss Wagon Factory would devise the Prelaz-Burnand rifle and begin its journey as a firearms manufacturer. The company changed its name to Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft (Swiss Industrial Company or SIG) to better reflect its products. SIG would later produce the Mondragon rifle, the P210/P49 pistol and the PE-57/510 rifle. In 1975, SIG merged with the German J.P. Sauer & Sohn company to form SIG Sauer. SIG Sauer would go on to produce many significant firearms including the P220, P226, P320, P365 and P211 pistols, the 516, MCX and Cross rifles, and various other firearms and accessories.
For the upcoming Marty Brown Memorial Open™IN Rifle & Pistol event, the following SIG Sauer donated products will be featured:
- Gift Certificate for Foxtrot EDC flashlight
- Gift Certificate for KILO3K laser rangefinder

The Marty Brown Memorial Open™ IN Rifle & Pistol will be suitable for firearms enthusiasts ranging in experience from beginner to expert; the event will generally follow the Basic Rifle and Basic Pistol courses of instruction with some drills omitted to fit into a single day and to allow for fundraising at various points. Lunch will be included.
