Founding and five-year sponsor, Timney Triggers, has continued their generosity with a donation of gift certificates for this year’s Marty Brown Memorial™ events.
In 1946, Allen Timney established Timney Triggers to supply single-stage triggers for bolt-action rifles such as Enfields, Springfields, and Mausers for returning WWII soldiers wanting more accuracy out of their sporterized surplus rifles. As the company grew it moved from Downey, California to Phoenix, Arizona; unfortunately, a year after the move the factory was destroyed by fire along with almost all inventory. In 1981, Allen Timney sold the business to Paul and Rosemary Vehr. The Vehr’s brought the business back from the dead along with their 10 children who would often help out. The Vehr’s son John started working full-time for Timney in 1994 and steadily gained more responsibility to the point where he discussed buying the company from his parents. Fate intervened when his mother unexpectedly passed away followed five weeks later by his father. The contract to purchase the company remained unsigned. John was determined to keep Timney as a family business and bought out his siblings shares. The company continued to grow under John’s leadership and eventually moved into its current 25,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona and now offers more than 170 different triggers.

Join us at our upcoming Marty Brown Memorial™ Open Indiana Rifle & Pistol to be held just north of Zionsville, IN at the Gray Property on the weekend of Sept. 27th and 28th, 2025. The Marty Brown Memorial™ Open events are open to the general public; those having experience with firearms as well as those just starting their journey with guns are welcome to attend as the instruction will be geared to the new shooter (but experienced firearms enthusiasts might learn something as well). This year, we are “returning to our roots” and running this event as a 1-day pistol and 1-day rifle event held on the same weekend. Come for just the pistol or rifle day alone or come for both, it’s your choice!

Dozens of other give-aways, skills contest prizes, and silent auction items will be given away/awarded at the event; a complete list can be found on the 2025 Marty Brown Memorial™ Open Indiana Rifle & Pistol Swag Bags, Give Aways, Prizes, Auctions page of the Revere’s Riders website.
Proceeds from all Marty Brown Memorial™ events are donated to organizations that support women diagnosed with ovarian cancer in honor of Marty Brown, an instructor with Revere’s Riders, who passed from ovarian cancer in 2017. By attending, you will helping us with that endeavor and possibly going home with gear worth more than your event ticket price (possibly significantly more).
To date, we have raised $80,000 in support of ovarian cancer! Our goal for 2025 is to reach $100,000.
If you can’t make the Marty Brown Memorial™ Open Indiana Rifle & Pistol, then join us for another of our upcoming events:
