If you’ve been to the Marty Brown Memorial Invitational before, please consider attending again. If you haven’t yet joined us, make 2025 the year to experience shooting on the long-distance rifle ranges on the military side of Camp Atterbury (where the NRA National Matches were held just a few months ago). You don’t need to be a competitive shooter to attend, just be able to hold reasonably tight groups, be familiar with 3-position rifle shooting (e.g., the Revere’s Riders Rifle Qualification Test, NRA “Across the Course”, or other similar rifle match formats), and be safe with your rifle.
To get a flavor of each of the four stages that are part of the Revere’s Riders Rifle Qualification test, follow our four-part series “Join Us at MBMI” (this is an ongoing series and only the first installment, “Stage 4–400 Yard Prone“, has been published as of the publication date of this post; more installments are coming soon!):

To up the level of competitiveness even further, Frank and Barb Melloni will be back again this year; both are prolific firearms journalists and Frank was a competitor on History Channel’s “Top Shot“ show. Frank published an article in NRA’s Shooting Sports USA documenting his experience at the 4th Annual Marty Brown Memorial™ Invitational in 2020.

This year’s event will feature an extensive list of give-aways, skills contest prizes, and silent auction items. You can read more about these items on the 2025 Marty Brown Memorial Invitational Swag Bags, Give Aways, Prizes, Auctions page or peruse recent “2025 MBM Donation of the Day” posts:

Bring your competition or long-distance rifle, bring your M1 Garand or other historic rifle, or bring any other rifle you’ve been wanting to shoot out to 400 yards. Bring your bolt-action rifle if you’d like to just get your DOPE for it while helping us support women with ovarian cancer. This is an informal rifle match with the emphasis being on having a fantastic weekend on the Camp Atterbury ranges and raising money for a truly deserving cause in memory of a fantastic lady taken too soon.
To date, Revere’s Riders has raised over $87,000 for Ovar’coming Together in Indiana and the Ovarian Cancer Connection in Ohio. With your participation in the 9th Annual Marty Brown Memorial™ Invitational, we hope to exceed $100,000 in total donations.
