XS Sights has generously donated to our upcoming Marty Brown Memorial Open™ IN Rifle & Pistol event on Sept. 5-6, 2026.
XS Sights began back in early 1996 in the creative imagination of Ashley Emerson. Ashley was dissatisfied with not only the night sights of the time but also the aperture hunting sights that were being offered as well. He found that they were barely altered adaptations of target sights, which had multiple drawbacks for the application, and that hunting sights were way too fragile. In 1997, Ashley teamed up with Ed Pastusek to form A&E Mfg. Ed and Ashley consulted with numerous firearms experts of the time (Jeff Cooper, Finn Aagard, Clint Smith, James Yeager, Andy Stanford, Paul Gomez, Bill Davison, Ralph Lermayer, Giles and Ed Stock, Louis Awerbuck, Richard Mann, Hans Vang) in order to develop the v-notch and dot sights synonymous with XS Sights today.
For the upcoming Marty Brown Memorial Open™IN Rifle & Pistol event, the following XS Sights donated product will be featured:

The Marty Brown Memorial Open™ IN Rifle & Pistol will be suitable for firearms enthusiasts ranging in experience from beginner to expert; the event will generally follow the Basic Rifle and Basic Pistol courses of instruction with some drills omitted to fit into a single day and to allow for fundraising at various points. Lunch will be included.
